The Vision for the Future of Standards
LeGSB's vision is that it can facilitate Local Government realising benefits of using standards. This can be achieved in terms of:
- becoming more accessible organisations
- providing better services
- reducing costs
- being compliant to mandatory and best practice methods
- providing 'customer centric' joined-up service with partners
- widening the Democratic involvement of individuals
- engaging with communities to target services and policies to their needs
The take-up of standards, championed from within the Local Government community, will enable the public sector to share information easily and securely, whilst the private sector can invest with confidence to develop cost-effective solutions for the local government market.
