The Department of Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) have asked the Local e-Government Standards Body (LeGSB) to propose a number of people from Local Authorities to participate in various parts of the department’s standards and information management activities and groups.

Paul Davidson (Director of Standards) has joined the North West Information Sharing Group (NWISG), which has helped to progress LeGSB's thinking on standards for data sharing as a result. The DWP have appointed the Local e-Government Standards Body (LeGSB) to facilitate the definition of XML schemas and vocabularies necessary to support the transfer of Benefits case data from Job Centre Plus, and the Pensions, Disability and Carers Service, to Local Authorities.
