|
List of services delivered locally by Public Sector bodies in the UK. LGSL includes the external services subset which defines services provide by Local Authorities under powers or statutory duties to citizens and businesses in England and Wales, and the SSL subset which performs the same role in Scotland. |

To provide a common classification of each service to support comparisons of measurements and monitoring.

The esd-toolkit provides a public forum to receive and debate comments and proposals for alterations.
Implementation support is provided via the forum by Porism on behalf of the esd-toolkit, and various practioners and taxonomists.

How Implemented

Produce an Application Profile for each of the 'Customer Journeys' of that the organsiation wishes to support, illustrating where LGSL is to be used, along with other vocabularies, and the mappings that enable information resources to be joined up as a result.
Tag one page for each relevant LGSL entry as the service entry page.
This may then be used to generate an A-Z of services.
Service 'Throughput, Performance, Costing' should be cross referenced to LGSL.
Employ mechanisms to compare this data with other agencies.
