Heirarchical list giving standard definitions of access/delivery channels used by public sector organisations for communicating with their customers.

Purpose

To help public sector organisations share information on means of delivering services.

To provide a common classification of each channel to support comparisons in measurements and monitoring.

How Implemented

Data coming from contact centres, other departments and web sites is tagged against LGChL to indicate the channel through which a service was delivered.

Information resources relevant to a specific channel are cross-referenced against that LGChL channel in information retrieval systems.
